Like Memorial Days of the past, it's very important for the civilian population that never served to understand how lucky they are that they can enjoy the fruits of life while others sacrificed themselves for their enjoyment. But don't get me wrong, this is an everyday pin and let them know that it's a REMEMBER pin.
More than one million men and women gave their lives while serving our country. It's important to reflect on the price of our nation's many freedoms and to remind ourselves that our way of life has been shaped and made possible by those who have served and by those who were lost.
I decided to design this pin for that reason. If the shape reminds you of those headstones found in many military cemeteries, specifically those in Arlington Cemetery, you are correct!
It is 1 ¼ inches from top to bottom and with 2D design that has two clutch backs for a secure fasten.
